Updates from the Suffern XC Invitational @ Bear Mountain State Park! 🐻⛰️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Megan Talty kicks off the day w/ a 13th place finish in the girls freshmen race! Going through the mile in 22nd place, Megan picked up 9 spots over the last 0.8 miles of the course! @WheatleySports

Fresh off an All-State performance last weekend, good luck to Shannon Flachner at the NYS Federation XC Championship! One of only four female athletes to qualify from Sec. 8, we are proud of your accomplishments during your sophomore campaign! @WheatleySports @WheatleySchool

Final score from today’s senior day: Wheatley - 100 West Hempstead - 64 Carle Place - 48 East Rockaway - 20 Our girls finished the regular season with a 11-3 record. Great job to all!

2023 Nassau County C Championship update thread! Shannon Flachner kicks off competition for Wheatley with a 3rd place finish in the 3000m. After being spiked early in this tactical race Shannon ran a PR 11:29.92 to earn her All-County honors! @WheatleySports

Update #7 In what was the race of the evening, the quartet of JT Exharos, Thomas Li, Chris O’Connor & Lucian Pezzillo ran 3:47.61 to earn the title of county 4x400m CHAMPIONS! @WheatleySports

Update #5 9th grader Sadie Keys is the Nassau County Class C runner up in the 1500m! Sadie ran her the last 300m in 59 seconds to 🥈place! Her time of 5:14.61 is a PR by over 7 seconds! @WheatleySports

Update #4 Hard work and perseverance pays off! Senior JT Exharos takes 4th place in the boys 55m hurdles in a time of 8.94! @WheatleySports

Update #3 Battling illness, Lucian Pezzillo showed the same grit we’ve seen throughout his athletic career at Wheatley! Lucian battled hard to place 3rd in the 600m with a time of 1:30.83 earning All-County honors. @WheatleySports

Update #2 2020 - A 9th grade Caitlin O’Keefe was 7th in the 1000m. 2023 - 12th grade Caitlin takes 3rd place, securing All-County honors with a PR 3:13.74! @WheatleySports
