For those still insisting that Cup cars need to have 700, 800, 900 horsepower, I have two simple questions. 1) How fast was Dale going at Daytona in 2001? And 2) What were the G-forces produced by CBell's recent Michigan crash? It seems imprudent to me.

On NASCAR's "Hauler Talk" podcast, Mike Forde says it doesn't matter that Bubba Wallace didn't actually complete a pass while below the double yellow lines; it's the attempt to improve his position that was the foul. Forde: "If he did go below the yellow lines and eventually improved (his position) and he did that to improve it and he wouldn't have gotten to where he did without going below the yellow lines, that's really what matters here in this case. He doesn't actually have to make the pass while under the double painted line." Also says the SMT data didn't matter about Wallace attempting to give the spot back after going below the double yellow line because there are no give-backs with this rule.

@Here4Racing Im not saying it was a bad call, it was by the book, and im a 23 fan saying that. The issue is that other times, they let this kind of thing slide. Hill did the same thing this year at Talladega and got no penalty, for instance

@WheedMBoise When a pass is made they usually let it slide if the driver gives back the position. Bubba didn't make a pass but still gained and didn't slow up to even it out. It's a tough call but I think if you don't penalize, every driver is going below the line to make up time.

@DirtyMoMedia Old Atlanta was really good until about 2015, im sure it was fun to drive at that point but basically nothing was happening on track. The new one is incredible, at worst the 2nd or 3rd most entertaining track with the NextGen.

The new lime & sudachi Red Bull is incredible, which naturally means they're gonna discontinue it soon just like they did to my other favorite (the Cranberry one)

@NRE_Productions This track was awful with every vehicle they brought there besides Indycar. Under absolutely no circumstances should they return, barring a reconfiguration. It's also one groove, which the NextGen doesn't do well with, even at the intermediates

If the racing has been this good at chicagoland I'm curious how it would be at another track that hasn't been raced at in 6+ years...
