Made 1 year home now, It will always be a struggle to find Staffing during the continuing healthcare shortage. But guardianship removal is not the answer.

@GovTimWalz The best place for people of disabilities to live... Because they're treated like human beings. And more is done in order to make sure they can stay in their own homes. Paid overtime, bonuses, Healthcare and pay aides more than someone cleaning your home etc.

NEW: Minnesota has secured a $45 million investment from Japan-based Takeda Pharmaceutical.   We’re enacting policies to make Minnesota the top state to live, work, and raise a family – and businesses like Takeda are taking note, expanding, and hiring new employees.

@GovTimWalz You certainly do mind your own business, I didn't hear one word from You when myself and other fellow disabled citizens Have been physically, verbally, and mentally and emotionally attacked. And for what reason we want to be treated like human beings.

In Minnesota, we mind our own damn business. We don’t need you in the exam room. We don’t need you telling us who we can love. And we sure don’t need you attacking our teachers, students, and schools.

@GovTimWalz Need to get back to being the best state for the disabled community in living independently in their homes not being forced out n guardianship removal if they refuse (which is their legal right)!!!!

As a small town kid turned high school teacher, my mission as Governor is simple: Make Minnesota the best state in the nation to raise a family.   We're making the single-largest investment in public education in state history to ensure Minnesota leads the way.

@GovTimWalz Under Minnesota's standard the disabled are being declared INCOMPElENT N GUARDIANSHIP REmOvEd. If it wasn't for my determination n big mouth I'd be in a Mental institution facility instead of home. Are we still #1 @GovTimWalz? ×

Minnesota has earned a AAA bond rating from Fitch, Moody’s, and Standard & Poor – the highest a state can get. On top of that, our unemployment rates have hit historic lows, inflation is falling, and we’re a top five state for business. A bet against Minnesota is a bad bet.

I just spoke with Ricky Cobb II’s mother to offer my condolences. I assured her that a swift, thorough investigation has already begun and that we will do everything we can to get to the bottom of what happened.

@danpcman @GovTimWalz I'm missing something but why are we Giving so much attention to people that break The law and wonder why it ends badly. How about giving condolences to the disabled for having their guardianship removed for wanting to live in their home cuz lack of caregivers n proper pay.

@GovTimWalz This is the first time I've seen you saying anything about the disabled community since I've been on Twitter Despite the numerous messages I've sent you. It's apples and oranges how things are run compared to nursing homes and in home care. More needs to be done than just talk.

Right now, there are about 45,000 open health care positions in Minnesota. By putting new resources behind recruiting and training, we’re here to help Minnesotans choose a career path in this critical industry. kstp.com/kstp-news/top-…

@DaveRoetman @GovTimWalz Don't make it easy for you to move to a different state, you need to establish residency first, most likely a nursing home for 3/6 months. Then your application for services might be approved.

@GovTimWalz I expect that number will decline as more people flee Minnesota and those jobs will become unnecessary.

@GovTimWalz When you say for all, I don't see speaking too much about the disabled. I'm grateful and many others are too for the wage increase but why are we having to wait 2 years to get it almost to a livable wage in order to be able to safely stay at our home during a health care crisis.

@GovTimWalz Please protect the disabled community too from being forced out of their homes. If they refused to leave or go somewhere temporarily (which it won't be), their guardianship is removed then will have no choice because of the continued caregiver shortages.

True justice for George Floyd will come only through real, systemic, and lasting change in Minnesota. We have more work to do to ensure that every person in Minnesota is safe, valued, and protected. We owe that much to Mr. Floyd, and we owe that much to each other.
