The highlight of the day was speaking to the Turfgrass students from VA Tech at the ⁦@SSCF_Foundation⁩ booth. This is not one of the institutions we support. Speaking to these young men today inspired me to be a better mentor. I am humbled to be called upon to serve.

The centennial @GCSAAConference was a great time with the @VTTurfgrass guys! Great to see everyone and hope all have safe travels back home!

Successfully defended my master’s thesis today! Beyond thankful for my committee and their support every step of the way. Grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had as a master’s student at Virginia Tech and I’m excited to continue working on a Ph.D at Penn State!

Great week at the Carolina’s show, first time attending this one and it did not disappoint. Thank you to @VereensTurf and @redoxgrows for hosting two great evening events.

The 310yd par four eighth at Blacksburg CC is one of my favorite holes in golf. Aesthetically, you look past the green as it drops into a valley with mountains surrounding with the famous red barn to the right. Strategically, each bunker determines club selection off the tee.

It’s that time of year. In house bunker work…with a view. #17&18 this fall. These things are sooooo big.

Tuesday nights are for #Turfgrass Club! Tonight, @VTTurfgrass members highlighted their internship experiences - our #Hokies🦃 have been EVERYWHERE this past year - including Los Angeles, Kansas City, Denver, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, & New Jersey📍

Fun weekend at the @OmniHomestead volunteering at @tminamyer with @DibbernChas for the @USGA Senior Women’s Am . It was also great to see some of Bath County where @MatthewKTurf grew up!

Eventful two days @VTTurfgrass Field Day. Toured the brewing lab and Lane Stadium and ran into some industry friends, @SteveLoveday1 @WhitCoggin

And that’s a wrap! After 15 hours of delays, cancelled flights, Ubers, and lost luggage… I’m finally back at Virginia Tech. What a great summer learning how to build golf courses with McDonald & Sons and @AHGreenDesign. For now, sleep!
