Before becoming MP Guilbeault was once arrested for scaling the CN Tower with a banner in protest of climate policy of the Liberal govt at the time. Now he's saving face for a party thats rolled back all of the climate policies he fought for. Truly one of the all time sellouts.

Tonight, after spending 11 days in Iran, I returned to Beirut, Lebanon for the fifth time since Israel's genocide in Palestine began. The mood of the passengers on my flight from Cyprus to Beirut was relaxed, but when I got into a taxi at the Beirut airport terminal, the driver told me that the Israeli military had issued an evacuation notice for an area that is adjacent to the airport. As he drove us through that area, the taxi driver made humorous remarks about Lebanon. Upon my arrival at my hotel, staff at the reception desk asked me a series of unusual, security-related questions. They said that those questions were necessary because Israel had conducted precision strikes on several Beirut hotels in recent days.
