Last day of actual student teaching today! It’s almost graduation day. I am so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to be at BGHS this semester. I have learned so much teaching and subbing, and I have built such fulfilling relationships with students! Thank you Purples! 💜💛

Bittersweet last day with all of my Juniors before I start my long-term substitute position. Thanks to my mentor teacher for making it so special! I have loved building relationships with these students all year, and I am so sad to leave them!💜@BGHSPurplesNews @WKUCEBS

Yesterday during my first solo week, students in my U.S History classes created their own political cartoons about businesses they saw as modern-day monopolies. They were all so creative! @BGHSPurplesNews @WKUCEBS

Last week I started a citizenship unit with a couple periods, and today during my first observed lesson of the semester students will be doing an interactive slideshow that leads them through our local justice system! @BGHSPurplesNews @WKUSTE @opeswku

It's a week full of testing in Mr. White's classroom @WEHSRaiders! While students test, I am working on planning my last formal lesson for the AP classes. This lesson will help them review before their AP test in May! @BgtaylorKim @CEPTatWKU @WKUCEBS

Composition notebooks are used in my CEPT I classroom to help students learn. It provides them a central place to put their thoughts and work and is a great tool for them to review. @DrMargarella @DrakesCreekMS @JeanieSmith4KY

It is super important that students see themselves represented in their classrooms! History classrooms should share a diverse array of stories. One way my CEPT classroom does this is with posters. @DrMargarella,  @WKUSTE,  @CEPTatWKU, @DrakesCreekMS #Diversity

Having desks set up in groups makes it super easy for students to work with one another! I have seen many Kagan cooperative learning strategies employed @DrakesCreekMS such as Quiz-Quiz-Trade. 🤝 @DrMargarella, @WKUSTE, @WKUCEBS, @CEPTatWKU

Had such a great experience yesterday at @DrakesCreekMS getting to teach my first lesson about the French & Indian War! Students could not believe both the pictures on the slide were of George Washington! @DrMargarella, @WKUSTE, @WKUCEBS, @CEPTatWKU @JeanieSmith4KY
