What are some differences between D1, D2, D3, NAIA and JC programs?
There are exceptions but generally speaking.
D1 - the best players in the country. Best facilities, best budgets, great academics, sought out by most kids, parents
and coaches. Simply the best.
D2 - great players, not quite as academic known as others. Rosters are very internationally favored. Great facilities. Decent budgets. Very large rosters but lots of opportunities out there.
D3 - good players, brilliant academics, no athletic scholarship but decent academic packages. Facilities are hit and miss , mostly miss. Poor budgets.
NAIA - Good players, a lot of scholarship money. Very very large rosters. Average academics is putting it nicely. Very poor budgets. Most kids couldn’t tell who or what NAIA is. Very populated by internationals. Most schools in poor shape financially. Poor facilities.
JC - 2 year. Level of players ranges all over the place from elite Power 4 to D3. Bigger rosters. A lot of money available. A cheaper route to develop and get your first two years of school paid for. Poor facilities for the most part but a lot of opportunities

@ImCollegeSoccer Sure and then all these bigs schools play terrible soccer. Players cannot do the basic skills like trap a ball. But sure they can run fast.
For slow but technical soccer players, it’s tough to hear that speed matters.
For soft players, it’s tough to hear that physicality matters.
For short players, it’s tough to hear that height matters.
For technical, tactical, but slow players, it’s tough to hear that speed matters.
Recruits and Parents, it’s college soccer, nothing more. It’s a product of elite athleticism and pace will have a higher probability of winning. Elite athleticism and pace will have a higher probability of being recruited. Very few schools have the ability to recruit the total package, (technical, tactical, speed, height, physical, athleticism, mental). 90% of schools rely on elite athleticism and pace.
For the frustrated parent and recruit that’s uncommitted but feels their son or daughter is a good soccer player, it’s tough to hear that this 👆is College Soccer.

A lot of players in the transfer portal didn’t live in reality, and they got that way because of the grown ups in the room.
The dishonesty at the youth level regarding what you are and are not capable of finally caught up to a lot of you.
Adults, be honest with them. #CSTruth

@its_notrich@RGonzalezCBS There’s something going around about the labor laws changing in 2021 in England, and they expect him to be able to get a permit in January.
Hearing Sebastian Soto's loan move to SC Telstar of the Dutch second division is a done deal. He just signed with Norwich and moves on loan due to not being eligible for a UK work permit at the moment.
Stetson fans, we’ve got another exciting one! Aidan Whitlock joins the Hatters squad after being a key player for @NCFCAcad. Welcome to Stetson, Aidan! #GoHatters 🇺🇸⚽️✍️
