Very pleased to have assisted David Storch and his consortium in the takeover of Sheffield Wednesday FC. Completing the transaction in time for the start of May, and enabling the Club to compete next season without a 15-point deduction, is an excellent outcome. A great deal of work went into this, and many people contributed. In particular: David and his investors; Asher at CAA; Keir and his team at Charles Russell; the SWFC Supporters Trust; Clive Betts MP; John and the Club staff; Kris and the team at Begbies; David and his team at Wiggin; and the EFL Executive. Sheffield Wednesday is a historic club with a remarkable fan base. It has been a privilege to play a small part in what is, I hope, the start of its return.  I look forward to getting to a match next season!

@MattWinton2 @QPRReport @QPR But imo if he had not been sacked they would have stayed up and finished around were we did 15th. I liked Marti and I also like JS, If JS learns and improves next season that will the difference as Marti second season he didn't it was the same as the first.

Rather than rush to say: Well at least @QPR are 2 points better off than last season...The imponderable is how would Marti Cifuentes have done at #QPR? this season, with some better players - such as Kone and Burrell - at his disposal

@GoatedAdel One of the being Ian MC from WSL, his last post was so negative he didn't even try to hide his bias against Norry or JS. It's a shame as they remove your hope for next year.

Love QPR twitter. Simultaneously, our CEO picks the squad, but the manager is also underperforming. All our players are crap, but we should be challenging for the playoffs with the money spent.

@IanMac08 What a negative post no acknowledgement of any progress made as to this is the 1st season where the club has a direction. Millwall been slowly building their squad, Hull always had a good squad but poor management, Derby followed Warburton plan experience high wages finished 8th

15th again. Be prepared to be told, we gave many young players their debuts; injuries were not as bad as you lot think, not being in a relegation fight is a success, it's unfair to compare us with what Millwall, Hull, Derby have done and can you pay more next season, You R'ss.

@MattWinton2 Imo, we've come along way from being relegation fodder to being a comfy arm chair mid table. But we are also along way from the play offs, we need more winners/motivated/want to win every min of every game. GK, defence and mid field and squad to make everyone raise there game

There were positives in that. Tylon Smith and Isak looked good. The problem was the first 20 minutes, we need to be smarter there next season.

@QPR_Ryan21 Both of them are defenders and both are very poor at defending, both lack physicality Adamson lacks pace and both need loans out on league 2 etc... playing a 3 or 5 will not hide this fact

I feel Kealey Adamson would thrive in a back 5 as would Esquerdinha both attack and support their centre halves and I feel they’d do better if they had less defensive pressure

@MattWinton2 Agreed, best game by Bennie by a mile, Morgan, Vanrane were dominant sunning 2 of the best players killed us as madsen and Burrell weren't up to the speed of play, and don't get me started Kone for chair, when Koli is on the bench didn't make sense. Poor by the coaches today

@XtraLeicester Yes, he was slowly addressing your players issues, dropping stars that didn't want to run or fohht who had a losing attitude like at QPR winning enough games to stay out of the bottom 3 even with points deduction. You would have finished 15 / 28

After three years, the time has come to move on from QPR. In my career, I have been fortunate to win promotions and enjoy successful campaigns in the Premier League. But ‘success’ is relative. And my time at Loftus Road really highlighted to me what fans want from you as their player. It isn’t always about winning leagues, achieving promotion. It’s about giving absolutely everything for their shirt, respecting the badge and respecting the fanbase. If you do that, proper fans will have your back. I have always seen QPR as a proper football club with proper fans – my time at Loftus Road confirmed it. It is far easier to be a fan when things are going well on the pitch. But it takes a special fanbase to stand with you during the hard times. We have had three tough battles at the wrong end of the table. On each occasion, the QPR fans turned up when we needed them, stood with us and successfully helped us across the line. To be named Supporters’ Player of the Year in my first season is something I will always be proud of, and to captain the club was an honour. As a player, you want to leave a club in a better state than when you arrived. I feel I achieved that with the help of all the coaches and team-mates I have worked with over the last three years. As I move on to the next chapter of my career, I want to say a huge thank you to the owners, the board, the management, coaches, staff and the R’s fans. It has been one hell of an adventure. We have had ups and downs but I have loved the journey. QPR will always have a special place in my heart and I wish you nothing but success in the future.

@MattWinton2 in today's game it was so lathergic it was crying out for energy, intensity excitement to get the supporters going. He was the only one, running at them, trying to wipe crosses in and create . Yes he's end product needs work but for what we paid he won't be the end product.

It’s a shame to see the criticism of Amadou. He’s been excellent at right-back this season. His end product needs work, but he’s a converted centre-back, gives 100%, and his pace is essential to a defence that would otherwise lack recovery speed. He’s also great for team spirit

@MattWinton2 Because in society now everything needs to be instantly successful and wave a blame culture. There is no in-between rational thought process. We have injuries so it needs to someone fault. Not it's part of football I'm afraid

Listened to Ben Williams on the pod, thought he came across well. Honest, transparent, and made a lot of sense. Decent listen. Not quite sure why he’s been made public enemy number one.

Going to QPR is pot luck for us. 6 hour round trip and you get your good and bad days, today was a great day. Thrilled for the kids after some bad recent days. That’s the joy of following the Rs

What happens when a club sacks a manager? Can a player who is dropped after scoring 19 goals who is on a bonus if he scores 20 sue the club? Does a manager who has been sacked have to try to find another job? Are all leading sports lawyers QPR fans who are called Nick? These and many other questions answered on @POF_POD today by leading sports lawyer and QPR fan Nick Humphreys 🎧shm.to/Sl.ide 🍎shm.to/A.way

@MattWinton2 It was a great window, letting Fields go out on loan and frey returning home was the right thing to do. Both have given they're all to QPR and if it wasn't free they're off them we would have got relegated in the last two years. nourry imo showed his class by sorting it for them

It’s really the same people who criticise the club at every opportunity. It’s like those people hate Nourry so much that they are willing to hate the club because of it. It’s a real sickness considering the great season we are having!

Sam Field: "Norwich is a big club - I can tell that already being here. The aspirations are a lot higher up the league and I think there's more than enough quality here. "I’m desperate to play football. The first half of the year hasn't gone the way I'd like it to and Norwich expressed an interest. It was an opportunity that sounded perfect for me. "I know it's only a short-term [move] until the end of the season, but I'm really looking forward to it." [@NorwichCityFC] | #NCFC
