Good validator economics context from Figment. Validator income is not one number. WhoEarns tracks closed-epoch block fees, Jito tips, scheduled/produced slots, and skip rate. Raw income, per-slot income, and APY are different metrics. Data only, not delegation advice.

Skip rate matters because a skipped leader slot is not just an uptime stat. It is a missed opportunity for block fees and tips. That is why WhoEarns uses scheduled slots as the denominator, not only produced blocks.

Insight: raw validator income and validator performance are not the same metric. Raw income usually favors larger stake because larger validators get more scheduled leader slots. WhoEarns defaults to performance per scheduled slot.
