Opening up your home to the FGC is a real coin toss man, and not without its risks.
I'm very happy I've only had great experiences with it, and will probably host events at my place again. But some of ya'll don't know how to use a bathroom let alone be a fucking good person.

@KBradJStorm Depends on the game: it feels corny when Mortal Kombat does it - I do not want to fight Ghostface.
With Street Fighter, they really do new OCs well (Menat, Jaime, JP), and I want more of that.
Universally tho, guest characters always seem to have to be OP AND easy to use. Boring.

I'm always so confused on why guest characters get so much heat. It's always "We have enough characters that haven't returned yet" but never anything else to explain their anger.
Without your bias or your anger, what are some OTHER reasons y'all hate guest characters?

I remember going to @WhyNotSebastian 's house for some SF6 casuals in his apartment and I had no problem supplying some drinks and snacks for the host. I think that's just common courtesy.
