A thread about touring theatre. 👇🏻 I know that nobody is touring anything for a little while. And I know that I’ve banged on about this before. But I do think that, when tours start up again, a discussion needs to be had about the archaic digs situation in this country.

We know this will not solve every problem facing our culture sector, and that more support is needed. But I hope this £10m will be a lifeline for theatres - and also send a signal of how important we believe arts and culture are, not just to our economy, but to our wellbeing too.

To anyone who doesn't understand why Sound Design should be thought of as a creative art, rather than pure tech. I might point them to pages 86 though 88 of @garethfrysound's 'Sound Design for the Stage'. It has the most elegant analogy. I doff my cap to you sir. #sounddesign
