In @UMichPrezOno's email addressing the encampment raid he states, "...Ensuring that the campus is safe – for students, faculty, employees, university visitors, and protestors – is a paramount concern". Allowing police to brutalize students in the encampment shows the opposite..

Without student activism, UM would not have had the COVID protections that many fought for during the 2020 @geo3550 strike. On top of that disability is intrinsically tied to the physical and psychological violence Palestinians are being subjected to here and in their homeland.

A lot of the Covid advice is getting expensive. Telling folks to buy portable hepa filters and all that. The masks & tests are already an expense on its own. I get it but also I wish this hadn’t turned into a solely individual responsibility.
