@Astragalus EB proteins localize to the growing tips of microtubules (MT). As MTs polymerize, EB proteins follow, giving this comet effect. Since muscle cells lose functional centrosomes, MT organizing centers are relegated to nuclear membrane and golgi, resulting in comets shooting all over
