A solar detector prototype developed by Wichita State faculty and students is about to launch into low Earth orbit by NASA! The mission will gather critical data to support future solar neutrino research closer to the sun. Read more in the comments.

Wichita State was proud to welcome MatPat, creator of the Game Theory YouTube series. He shared his journey as a content creator, gaming theorist and entrepreneur during an engaging conversation with our campus community last week.

Thank you to everyone who joined Open Streets ICT. Nearly two miles of 17th Street were filled with local food trucks, music, small businesses and open space for the community to move and connect. We appreciate everyone who came out and helped make the event a success.

This week, WSU hosted Lt. Gen. (Ret.) H.R. McMaster as the 2026 guest for the Craig W. Barton Speaker Series, welcoming students and community members. He shared stories that shaped by his time in the U.S. Army, his work as a scholar and his experience in national leadership.

Wichita State has named Dr. Jamarco Clark as its next vice president for Student Affairs, effective July 1. He brings a deep commitment to student success, wellbeing and collaboration as we continue supporting Shocker students in reaching their full potential. 💛🖤
