Wow what a wholesome tweet about RLCS from — *checks account* — THE PRESIDENT OF FRANCE?????
Emmanuel Macron@EmmanuelMacron
Avec la Karmine Corp championne du RLCS Major 2 sur Rocket League à domicile ce soir, et l’EWC qui arrive à Paris cet été… on peut le dire avec fierté : la France est au sommet de l’esport !

My RLCS 2026 Paris Major Takeaways:
1. Epic wants Rocket League to succeed.
With years of not-so-great communication between the developers and playerbase, it's natural that people start to worry. UE5 leaked, then soft confirmed in a reddit comment, then nothing... for 4 (or 5?) years. I don't blame people for losing hope.
But this event, the amount of staff here, the committment to having Rocket League as their flagship Unreal Engine 6 game, the celebration in the capitol city of their most dedicated country of players. It all showed me personally, that Rocket League is being cared for, and will be around for a LONG time to come.
I can say confidently that Rocket League IS listening, and I have faith that things will continue to improve.
2. We need more events in Paris.
The first time I visited Paris, it was a very brief 1-day stay while on the road to Dusseldorf. Wasn't quite fond of it, but this time around, much better experience.
The fans, the arena, the public transport, the night life, the architecture, it was all great. Rocket League should continue to come to France, and I'm excited for EWC (hopefully I get invited 🤞).
3. I love being in-person
For me, LANs are always tough. I know that if I stay home, I can likely get more views on the stream, save money/time on travel, and generally output more content/shorts/videos.
But the energy of being in the arena, the connections with other creators, pros, devs, is all invaluable. It makes the watch parties so much more fun to be here, when it all happens, with some of the best creators in the game.
I hope to never miss a LAN event again.
4. Unreal Engine 6 had mixed reactions?
This one suprised me to be honest. I know there's always going to be people who are unhappy, and I think that MOST people see this as a great announcement.
But the AMOUNT of tweets I saw that were actually getting traction hating on the announcement was not something I expected.
People saying that we overdid our reaction for the camera? I didn't even know they were filming it LOL.
Imagine you create content for a game every day for 5 years, make it a career, and then the devs of your game invite you to a private screening, and instead of Unreal Engine 5, you see a 6 on screen. Pretty good reason to get hype.
People saying it gave no info?
Yeah, it's a teaser. We're likely a bit away from it being implemented. But the game will continue to thrive, as it has WITHOUT any confirmation of an engine upgrade, until UE6 arrives.
What it does give, as mentioned earlier, is confirmation that the devs are still hard at work bringing real change. The type of change that will considerably improve the creativity allowed from devs and players with the game.
I love this game, I love my job, and I hope to continue doing it for many years to come. See you all for stream on Tuesday. No days off from here on out 🫡

@euphonium_magic @TomBradyEgo As a Leaf fan. Yes. Most of us do not understand reality. Though the 1st overall pick doesn't hurt.

Richard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond. Kyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR’s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry. No one can carry it forward to the level that he did. The No. 8 is reserved and ready for Brexton Busch when he is ready to go NASCAR racing.
