Twitter tagging your TD rarely gets attention. Emailing or phoning does. To email ANY elected TD their address is firstname.lastname@Oir.ie Keep your email brief and to the point. Be polite. Include your address. Be clear you are a constituent. Ask for a response. 1/3

@JoIsSummer Wasn't there some money offered to schools initially that they could spend on HEPA 'if they wanted to'? It was around the same time the sent shitty CO2 monitors to nearly all classrooms, that broke and were mostly ignored.

Riddle me this… If we can’t ‘afford’ things like HEPA filters in schools or safer healthcare to reduce impacts of viruses despite the £bns that doing nothing costs the economy, how do we pay for the next pandemic and why are we maximising the chance of lockdowns during it?

@CovidSolidarit1 It's the anger that gets me. Impossible to mention avoiding covid now, without getting an angered response.

I know I’m “weird”, because I have Long Covid and am Covid conscious, but does anyone else find that “normal” people are acting really weirdly? I mean people you know (knew) well. I’m finding people have different personalities - but maybe it’s just the people I know?

I’m sorry to say this but a vote for FF/FG is a vote for saying goodbye to your kids at Dublin Airport. We’ve the highest emigration in 10 years now. CSO figures. #housingdisaster

Important thread.
Jim Reed@jim_reed

The #covidinquiry was back up and running this week and quickly into what some people think is one of the biggest scientific or policy mistakes (or 'misunderstandings' depending on your POV) of the whole pandemic. And it's all to do with how Covid is spread in the first place. 🧵

@loujnicholls Take it easy if you can when you get back from your drive. Choosing plants I’m sure will give you a nice adrenaline lift. It sounds like one of those rebound lurgies.

This thread broadly reflects my current #COVID19 point of view - to add broadly speaking the fast development & distribution of vaccines was a huge victory following the significant defeat of not suppressing covid in early 2020
AuDHD@OmicronData

Data has dried up because of this. The reality of today is that people will have COVID infections, likely several a decade, but this is no longer a significant health issue for most individuals. And the discourse remaining is just enormous echo chambering and tedious tbh.

@mir_ocall I would argue that our health more important, because these feckers will be the death of everyone.

Discussion around increased school absences, lots of "during #covid" and the affect of lockdowns. Principal comes on apologising for the way he sounds because he has man #flu and looking for praise because he still came to school regardless. We're still fucked aren't we? #TodayCB

This experience highlights how "COVID-19 is a systemic issue that can’t be addressed with neoliberal individualism". Public Health - where are you?

@CMOIreland “our MMR vaccination rates are not high enough to prevent the spread of this serious disease” Measles is airborne & preventable Please tell creches & places with babies & young children that air filtration is cheap, readily available & very effective to prevent measles spread
