Thus, the paradigm of 'no inherently stable soil organic carbon' from mineral soils could also be true for carbon-rich peatland soils.

All soil organic matter compounds shifted under warming and elevated CO2, regardless of source or molecular complexity. Root-derived carbon increased while leaf-derived carbon decreased.

3rd conference in 4 weeks - this week #GASIR meeting in #Bayreuth on stable isotope research. Presentation of our results from @snf_ch funded projects on long-term warming and carbon cycling in plant-soil systems was well received.

An exciting #IMOG2023 is slowly coming to an end - saw exciting presentations and had many great talks, got food for thought an initiated upcoming collaborations. Was great to share @snsf_ch funded research we conducted @UZH_Science @uzh_geo.

Only encouraged persons can and need to stop sexual harassment also in terms of prevention of future cases. Supportive persons (as I was in the respective case) are highly valuable for the victims!

I just served as a supportive witness in a court case on sexual harassment. During the interview in front of court, I got more the feeling to be the perpetrator than the witness. Now, I can totally understand that most victims do not stand up, but give in, which is really a pity!

@y_vaziritabar We target in one project restoration of degraded peatlands, in another project climate change responses on peatlands will be investigated and we furthermore use it for teaching in croplands, forests and indoor experiments (mainly the 870). So, very diverse…

@WiesenbergG Nice! What is your cropland treatments? There you have two CO2 analyzers 870 vs 7810 (CO2 + CH4)? I am gonna combine Li-870 with Li-7820 👨‍🌾
