We mapped our results to the self-regulation model of genetic counselling (Shiloh 2007) to present a practical framework of questions and strategies GCs and other HCPs can use when working with individuals with a family history of YOD

We aimed to identify the psychological and social impacts of YOD on asymptomatic relatives, who may be at genetic risk. Our findings demonstrated that a diagnosis of YOD significantly impacts the lives at-risk relatives, yet their experiences often go unnoticed
