@Ratticorn @2_gryphon Hmm? Wasn't that the topic of the thread? (You referred to 2 being "bitten" by a political position.) Of course, I never made money selling DVDs of my opinions. I run furry websites, enjoy puppeteering, and have great trouble voting as all parties here suck in different ways. 😼

Any of us "original" furries are going to say this. Furry was NEVER a place for politics. It wasn't a "safe space" for any ideology. It was where you went for a weekend to throw all those things out the door. But they've taken it and turned it into a activist platform.

@Ratticorn @2_gryphon @furarchives @furry_archive @FurryFootage TBH, I didn't listen to them much. 😼 I had the impression that furry was a convenient audience for his comedy. As WikiFur notes, he was also in rock, sci-fi and fantasy. One could say the same of other musical or even visual artists; it doesn't mean they're not fans as well.

@Ratticorn @2_gryphon Of course, private clubs can choose eligibility criteria as they like. But there is a risk of effectively saying "to be involved in furry fandom, you need to be aligned with position X on Y", and when Y is a matter of public debate you start to exclude large chunks of society.

@Ratticorn @2_gryphon I do see a disturbing trend where fans risk exclusion from events, awards, etc. based on holding minority views within furry that are advanced by some political parties (even if they don't support said parties' other policies), or seen as anethmrna to key fan groups (e.g. AI).

@Plainly_D You say "a Creative Commons Share-Alike license" in your videos; this lacks a version number, so they can't easily be reused on e.g. Wikimedia Commons which requires a versioned template like commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:… - could you update your ending titles to specify? ♻️

@Inkbunny If not doing this right away, you will probably need to apt-cache show postgresql-18-client and use the newly-dated version. You should then apt-mark hold libpq5 postgresql-18 postgresql-client-18 as the snapshot is considered a downgrade (its repo is also at a lower priority).

@Inkbunny If you're even more geeky and have to fix this on your own site: grab trixie-pgdg-snapshot (adjust for distro) from apt.postgresql.org for 18, 17 etc. apt update apt install postgresql-18=18.2-1~20260219.2043.ge3cee403b25.pgdg13+1 and the same for postgresql-client-18 libpq5
