Born and raised in Penguin, Tasmania, Justin Plapp emerged onto AFL scenes after a 98-goal season for the Burnie Dockers in 1996. His 8 goals for Richmond in his first 2 games was the highest it got for him, then used on half back for the Saints.

Drafted between Angus Bradshaw and Jordan De Goey, pick 4 Jarrod Pickett had talent to burn, but unfortunately it wasn't to be in the AFL. Like many, he moved from GWS to Carlton but was delisted after 17 games.
