Mark Alvey made his debut for the Bullies at the WACA in 1998, as the dogs kicked 8 goals to nil in the first quarter, only to concede 8 goals to nil in the second and lose. Couldn't quite edge ahead of Libba, West and Romero for midfield time.

Born and raised in Penguin, Tasmania, Justin Plapp emerged onto AFL scenes after a 98-goal season for the Burnie Dockers in 1996. His 8 goals for Richmond in his first 2 games was the highest it got for him, then used on half back for the Saints.

Pick 32 in 1998, David Gallagher was a rising star nominee that just couldn't quite crack Adelaide's late 90s midfield. A stint at Carlton was also unsuccessful, but he then won 3 VFL premierships in over 150 games for Sandringham

Drafted between Angus Bradshaw and Jordan De Goey, pick 4 Jarrod Pickett had talent to burn, but unfortunately it wasn't to be in the AFL. Like many, he moved from GWS to Carlton but was delisted after 17 games.

It was of course Daniel Wulf, delisted by the Bulldogs and drafted by the Saints from East Burwood, he famously missed running into an open goal vs Sydney in 2002, drawing the game.

Pick 29 in the 2005 draft, Ben McKinley broke out in 2008, leading West Coast goal kicking, including a bag of 7 vs Essendon. Was probably a few inches too short to be a KPP. Now a lawyer.
