@DanMyers Trade Brodin, fine. But you can’t give away yet another center after trading Rossi, especially not our best one at $5.5M. The goal is to ADD and have Ek and somebody at 1C above him. Trading EK only takes us backwards and doesn’t solve our center depth even if we trade for 1

@WildRichard97 I don’t have credentials. And yes, I’d trade them. Because at the end of the day, when it comes time to play postseason hockey, neither one is EVER available. Been that way for years with Brodin, who I adore as a player. Ek the last few years too, who I also adore.

Immediate thoughts:
Re-sign 36 to a 1-yr deal. I’d take 71 back on a vet minimum deal. Same with 90. I build around Wallstedt in goal. I trade 14 and 25. Love Ek as a player, but he isn’t on the ice at the most important times. Not sure what you get for 25 beyond cap space.

@MNState0fHockey You just simply are not trading away ek and his $5.5M contract. Too valuable. Brodin is tradeable. I don’t love it especially cuz Middleton should go first and you probably aren’t making wholesale changes. Trade Middleton and Gus and assets to get a Matthews Brady or Jack.

As much as this loss sucks, the Wild are right there. Avs are unreal but we’re very beatable. Losing ek and brods hurt bad. It’s time to move on from Middleton and give that spot to Hunt. It’s also time for Billy to swing big again and add another elite player, species on a 1C.

@CoachBGonzo No doubt COL is deeper, especially at center. But you can’t say we can’t beat a contender, we just beat one in Dallas. Losing Ek crushes our depth. No doubt Billy’s #1 priority is center this summer. It 100% needs to be addressed and I think it will. Losing Ek and Brodin sucked.
