@Floridagirl0850 my daughter taught me something very wise. When she sees someone doing something different than the way she'd do it she says "Good for them but not good for me" and then just goes about her business without giving them an ounce of judgement

I spoke three languages as a child but I’d get confused and speak them in the same sentence. Only my mum could understand me as she was fluent in all three and my dad only one. She had to write a list of key words for school because I’d flit between languages then get frustrated.
Joe Weisenthal@TheStalwart

The “forbidden experiment” — raising a child with no language exposure — is forbidden for very good reasons. But has anyone studied the opposite, what happens to children in extreme polyglot households? Like where they’re hearing 8 languages with equal regularity from birth?

Six years since Joe Wicks workouts, banana bread, Zoom parties, clapping, "you're on mute", Tiger King, day drinking, NHS rainbows, Captain Sir Tom, the toilet roll chaos, elbow touching and shouting DISPERSE through my megaphone to anyone in a group of more than six.

As always schools for #worldbookday please encourage pyjamas and bringing favourite books. Costumes are expensive and often end up in landfill. The stats on how many children don’t have books in their homes are rather sad. Let’s not have parents waste money. #booksnotcostumes

In Japanese, “tsundoku” means collecting books and letting them pile up - not for neglect, but for the joy of knowing they're there, full of untold stories. 📍Kinokuniya Book Store, Tokyo
