Have a go at this! It’s a video of me speaking about snakebites, and what actions we can take to drive a step improvement. I’ll drop a hint ‘prevention is everything’ 🐍🙏

140,000 people die each year from snakebites worldwide - but researchers say simple steps could cut this number significantly Here Harrison Carter @Wild_Harrison_ explains the importance of a "prevention-first" approach 👇🧵

This is the @WildCRU_Ox ‘Controversial Topics in Conservation’ discussion group 🫶 Four new DPhils and two mentors, talk about all the important things we otherwise left unsaid 🐘! For me- just because it’s challenging, doesn’t me we should talk about it. Quite the reverse!

@OxfordBiology #Wildbiofact Venomous snakes can decide whether they envenomate when inflicting a bite. It is a choice! In fact, a experimental study has suggested that snakes only envenomate about half of their bites when acting out of defence.

Those figures absolutely don't speak for themselves. They are removed from all kinds of context like total livestock numbers, other causes of death, total costs, mitigation options, economic benefits of wolves, etc. Cheap and primitive propaganda.
EPP Group@EPPGroup

These figures speak for themselves. 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺 Large predators threaten the traditional farming method across the EU, with wider effects on rural communities. It is time for a sound scientific reassessment of the European wolf population! #wolves
