2 years, 730 days without you Koby. 2 years of regret, wonder, sadness, and grief. Feelings of hate toward that day, toward myself, toward the result of the accident. While we think about you in every moment, this day hits really hard, and this time of day stings in an indescribable way. Around 1:30 pm, our lives changed forever. A hole in my heart was ripped open and has only widened with time. From the seconds just before, the darkness in between, to seeing you carried away, I want nothing more than to reverse the hands of time and tell you how much we love you and how proud we are of you one more time. However, we can't, and that infinite reality hits like a ton of bricks. A weight on my chest that I hope never goes away. Nothing in life matters more than what the children we bring into it do. The activities, the school day, the practices, the games, but soak it all in because you never know when that opportunity to be there with your kids will be gone. In Koby's spirit, fill today and everyday with Kindness, Joy, and Love. Our world has little room for anything but.
