My parents bought a house in Alabama to escape the tyranny of the north during covid, and I followed after losing my job in Nashville I thought it’d be a pit stop on my way to bigger and better things, but instead Alabama is where I met a guy at a small town bar, played tennis with him, went to the beach with him, married him, bought a house with him, and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in a hospital down the street from where we met Alabama is home now, in every sense of the word, and never in my life did I imagine I’d say that Also, it’s beautiful

Interesting how often you see the South talking about the North in one form or another & practically never see anyone from up here talking about them at all.
