I like the idea behind this: Tarkovsky’s Soviet spiritual cinema has become a genre today. Real innovation may lie with filmmakers like Chantal Akerman or Albert Serra... People say AI will kill Hollywood, but no one says AI will kill Europe’s major film festivals. AI may not yet be where cinematic experiments truly happen—but who knows?
