Millions more haven't really met it yet, and the gap between what they think AI can do and what Claude actually does is the most fun story to tell in tech right now. @vercel was an incredible run. A truly special place with people who refuse to trade quality for speed and somehow hit both at the highest level. To everyone I worked with there, thank you. One of the best experiences of my life, and I'm grateful for every bit of it. And every ship. It's rare to get to work on something you genuinely believe in, with people who care this much about getting it right. Getting that twice in a row isn't lost on me. Lots to do. Lots to show.

Whether design belongs in Figma or Claude Design is a distraction from a bigger shift. 1️⃣ Design will become autonomous. More helpful to think of it as 𝙳𝙴𝚂𝙸𝙶𝙽.𝚖𝚍, used by your coding agents running your software factory. 2️⃣ Specialized “personal” design tools generated by teams will proliferate. Design is a capability, not a tool. I agree with @rsms that there are many facets of design, and multiple tools are required. I love prompting in @v0 and it’s become the place where I can channel my inspiration, explore, communicate. But I’m also seeing a new generation of products that use the v0 Platform API or Sandbox and put design on autopilot. There are next-generation agents like @tryflint and trybloom.ai generating design & brand systems and maintaining them autonomously. Flint can even keep your website and content up to date and its design consistent. No human prompting needed. From this we will see the emergence of fully autonomous companies with agents like nanocorp.so and durable.ai, which go a step further and grow and advertise your business. tl:dr; The future looks very different from the present. AI is a true discontinuity. The “here’s the existing thing but with AI and ${jobTitle} is cooked” is short-sighted.

@rauchg @v0 Wind… on a cheese moon?!

Created a flag on the moon based with hyper-realistic physics with @v0: v0-moon-flag.vercel.app. The flag is simulated as a grid of particles connected by springs (cloth simulation). It's influenced by gravity, wind, air resistance. The initial approach v0 one-shotted was quite simplistic, but giving it references to more sophisticated approaches in C++ and Rust quickly improved it. It was mind-blowing it to see it deeply understand the physics and port new ideas across languages. It simulated a real sun for lighting, and procedurally generated moon-like terrain with craters. I found a sick free texture on Reddit that I uploaded and it layered on top. Another epic moment was watching it improve performance. It seamlessly moved the physics simulation to a Web Worker. (Kinda cool to see given we just improved support for them in Turbopack 😉)
