Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey should have been sent off against Tottenham, the Premier League's KMI Panel has said. Brobbey pushed Cristian Romero into keeper Antonin Kinsky but escaped a second yellow. Romero suffered a season-ending knee injury. 👇 bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

Since yesterday’s fixture against Brighton, which took place during the Premier League’s No Room For Racism weekend, Kevin Danso has been, and continues to be, subject to significant and abhorrent racist abuse on social media. There is no place for racism at Tottenham Hotspur. There is no place for racism in football. Read our statement: thfc.pro/4sIGXdY

Having had a chance to reflect on today’s game, I cannot believe the Premier League can legally get away with that refereeing performance… it was beyond criminal Now don’t get me wrong, I thought we were still pretty poor bar the odd pass that made it’s way between the lines from Romero and Porro, but absolutely every decision went against us and what made it worse was the commentary! The reality is the commentators play a big part in building narratives for the casual fan and today’s were a joke. Constantly labelling everything Sunderland did as strong but ours reckless? - Romero taken clean out no where near the ball, nothing for Brobbey… - Romero clean challenge, yellow card… - VDV barely touches the opposition, yellow card… - Udogie through on goal with studs on his ankle, nothing given… - Brobbey blatantly pushes Romero into Kinsky endangering both players and potentially ending Romero’s season and World cup, nothing… - RKM through on goal, ref blows for handball when it wasn’t even close… We still needed to do better on the ball ourselves but my goodness how can we cope when we are dealing with this every week? Clattenburg admitted he let Spurs and Chelsea kick off because it would ruin our chances for the league and they all wanted Leicester to win, so you’re delusional if you don’t think half of them would find it funny if we went down

So much wrong at Spurs, but it has nothing to do with the fans. The board, scouts, coaches, managers and the players have taken us down this road to ruin. What a wretched collection of overpaid, over hyped individuals. We'll have to eat this and live with it, they'll move on

Leadership Group: Cristian Romero: Gets himself sent off with a stupid challenge, whilst his club is in a relegation battle, largely because he couldn't be arsed with Frank. Childish. Van De Ven: Seems like he cannot be arsed half the time. Ignores managers, gives them attitude, does about 5 interviews a season. Guglielmo Vicario: Never takes accountability, yelling at defenders, awful on the pitch. This is why Tottenham are going down.

Lange and Vinai hadn’t even entertained the idea that they’d have to sack Frank a month after this. Both of them need to be removed from their roles immediately. It’s not acceptable to be run by two people so patently out of their depth.

When Venkatesham stood up last summer and said we want to win the Premier League and the Champions League, those are not throwaway ambitions. They are statements that imply structural change, elite recruitment, and a level of alignment that touches every department of the club. Yet the appointment of Thomas Frank never quite married with that rhetoric. That is not a slight on Frank as a coach. He is intelligent, measured, and has done strong work in constrained environments. But there is a vast difference between overperforming at a well run mid table club and building a machine capable of competing with Manchester City, Arsenal, or Liverpool over thirty eight relentless league games and deep European runs. Now we hear Roberto De Zerbi mentioned. Again, an interesting coach. Progressive. Brave in possession. Potentially more watchable. But if the question is whether he demonstrably elevates us into the bracket occupied by Arsenal and City, there is no body of evidence that says he does. Attractive football is not the same thing as title contending football. Control without ruthlessness wins admiration, not trophies. Then look at the squad honestly. Who walks straight into the starting eleven at Manchester City? At Arsenal? At Liverpool? Perhaps one or two on their day. But that is the point. Elite teams are built on layers of excellence. Depth of quality. Physical dominance. Relentless standards. We are not close to that threshold. So where exactly is the catalytic moment coming from? A manager alone cannot close that gap. A new voice in the dressing room cannot compensate for structural recruitment issues. A hopeful press conference cannot bridge a talent deficit. To reach the level publicly stated requires coordinated bravery in the transfer market, in wage structure, in sporting direction, and in long term vision. At the moment, optimism feels emotional rather than strategic. Fans understandably feel a lift now Frank has gone. Change always carries the illusion of momentum. But real momentum will only be visible when the board’s next actions align with their ambitions. Not just in words, but in risk appetite. In decisive recruitment. In clarity of identity. Fortune favours the brave. And historically, Spurs have preferred caution to courage. If the club truly intends to sit at the same table as Arsenal and City, then this is the inflection point. The next appointment, the next transfer window, and the next structural decisions will tell us whether those ambitions were a slogan or a strategy.

Another defeat for Tottenham Hotspur. There's just no confidence and seemingly no real plan on the pitch other than hoping for set piece goals.
