@WolfeToneEmmet@DelvinGaa@WhelanAran@micky_quigg 1hr out of the week. Saturday evening,on astro under light. Fresh air, chatting, craic, catching up with friends that are now in different schools. Playing small sided games. All positive stuff.
I don't see wee mini games in lawns or estate greens anymore. It's fortnite & Fifa
@WillDesign2012@DelvinGaa@WhelanAran@micky_quigg Jasus would ye not give the kids a break for like even 1 month out of the 12 months. Gaa for juveniles playing 10/11 months is nuts & coaches going too far.
Week 1 of our u13 Winter League. SSG 6v6. 2 teams on 1 out. 6 minute games. Rest team = Camera Men. 📷 📽🎬
Next week the teams have to have a Team Name Pick & Team Colour coordinated

Emphasing winning games over equal game is a choice coaches make.
And one day coaches might look to play those children.
But they've already dropped out due to a lack of game time.
So now there may be no team for anyone.
Long term vision v short term success, its a choice.
Comparing 4v4 & 7v7 at U10. 103 children played across 3 matches of each format.
4v4 showed an increase of actions by:
▪️143% for non-dominant players
▪️72% for dominant players
Imagine the impact having twice the number of actions per game would have across a season. @MCRumpf
@Romarock753@ShaneSmith197@Hurlingcoach@WhelanAran 2 keepers, the decide the tactics, side by side, 1 in front. I play it with my twins on the lawn 1v1 I'm the ref or let them it. When they were younger it was 3pts for a Point. 1 for a goal. 3 for a catch. If you hit a bad stop opposition hit from its landing position. Sum craic
2v2 or 1v1. Loads of variation can be added. Ran 4 games side by side last night at u13s hurling practice. Huge craic. @ShaneSmith197@Hurlingcoach@WhelanAran
