He’ll basically oversee the football side of things rather than it all going to TS or the new investors. I don’t think it’s dodgy I think we’re trying something new. Can only be better than the current hierarchy

@WillGeorge01 @paulm_davis You can make anyone look bad if you only list the failures. McClaren was part of Sir Alex’s Man United setup, won the treble as assistant, coached elite players and worked with a young Cristiano Ronaldo during his development.

@GabSutton I disagree. 3-5-2 has worked once this season away at Exeter, this manager is out of his depth, nice guy but clueless. Doesn’t know his strongest 11 tactically stubborn. And when things go bad he walks off straight down the tunnel. He should’ve been an interim at best

7/10 display from Burton, 2/10 from Rotherham. I resent the simplistic culture of individual scapegoating in football, because there can be 99 reasons for poor performance besides management. I have sympathy for Matt Hamshaw, because it isn’t easy to be Rotherham United manager at this stage of the club’s trajectory. But there’s two big things that concerned me tonight: the lack of ideas, and the lack of urgency. Other than an encouraging opening 10 minutes, they had no other answers when passing it back and then knocking it long to Nombe wasn’t working. But most worryingly, no matter how late in the game it got with the team trailing, there was no intensity. No determination, fight or spirit, that should always be the hallmark of a Rotherham United side. If that’s what fans are experiencing semi-regularly then, with immense respect to Hamshaw and the values he clearly holds, I think you have to ask the big questions. #RUFC 🔴⚪️

Everyone was brill today, but I wanna call out Joe Powell for praise. Since joining last summer he’s played in every league game bar 1 (when his partner gave birth), he almost always plays 90 mins and he never stops running. Plus he’s very handsome which is a nice bonus. #RUFC
