From being sworn in this morning, to our first Clark County Commission meeting and my first vote as your District D Commissioner, today reminded me how proud I am to represent our community.

Incredibly proud to be part of the groundbreaking today in support of our firefighters. The CCFD training center on Tropicana opened in 1983 and will now be replaced with a state of the art facility and a new fire station to better serve the community. #LetsGetToWork

I was honored to visit Cheyenne HS to watch students in the AP African American Studies course present research on topics challenging societal norms. Congrats to the seniors who received their cords & certificates today, I was proud to help recognize their accomplishments! 🎓

Senator Joyce Woodhouse was an educator, legislator, mentor, and friend to so many across Nevada. Senator Woodhouse will be missed, but her contributions to our state will live on for generations to come. Sending prayers to her family and loved ones.

Ruby Duncan was a true pioneer for advocacy in Las Vegas. For more than half a century, Ruby blazed a trail from the Historic Westside to The Strip, tirelessly fighting for the rights of workers throughout Southern Nevada.

As a CSN alum, I couldn’t be more proud of the new Historic Westside Education & Training Center right here in District D. CSN changes lives and I look forward to this facility expanding access to workforce training, education, and community resources for years to come!

This weekend, the Bolden Little League celebrated their 10th season! Thank you to everyone from across the community who has made this possible for ten years. The fields at Doolittle will soon be upgraded, and we’re looking forward to another ten amazing years of baseball!

Today, our Historic Westside Legacy Park was proud to welcome this year's honorees, all of these trailblazers have led the way and charted a path for so many to now follow. Thank you for the example you set and thank you for all you’ve done for our community!

Our Shoes That Fit event today at Cahlan Elementary was incredible! Thank you to the staff, teachers, students—and our volunteers who made this event happen. Seeing all the smiles from ear to ear was a the perfect way to start the day.

We had a great time at the annual Historic Westside generation vs generation baseball game today. Shoutout to Tae Manor for bringing us together and the players & coaches for making this year's game a success!
