Not bad for a first attempt with no practice the idea was to show how it was made not expecting to get a finished item. Gold is a delight to work once made into foil and laid on beeswax and worked with bone tool and a hair dryer 😅

Many years ago i filmed the video now on display at the Dorset museum prehistoric gallery, i started with 2 gold bars of 18 grams. Talk about being thrown in the deep end i even had to run down the road to get stronger glasses as i could not see so fine any more, see comments

And on the major lunar standstill the moon would set directly down the middle of this potential alignment into the valley into the sea, with the sun on the summer solstice setting into the sea on the side of the valley. Tagging @AmandaChadburn as I think you’d be into this

Submitted my undergrad dissertation yesterday, on landscape and skyscape of a large bowl barrow on the North Cornish coastline. I found that the barrow has likely been positioned to give a framed view of the sea… 1/
