I remember when Mandy first came by. She was a neighborhood tomboy covered with dirt and fleas. Mandy had scars from fights with other dogs and cats for food left out in bowls on people's porches. I started to notice her hanging around my house more and more. I'd pull into the drive from work and she would come running up super excited to see me as if she waited. Mandy would roll over with her belly exposed wanting rubs and all I could do is use the bottom of my boot with how much of a dirty pup she was. I started warming up to her. Soon those rubs would turn into pats and hugs. The excitement started to be mutual. Would it really hurt to take her in? Would it really be that much of a burden to have a dog? It turns out- she wasn't a dog. She was an angel. I often tell people "she saved me more than I saved her". Mandy wanted nothing more than to be by my side in everything that I did. Car rides, walks at the park, taking naps, and most importantly just watching the world go by in the back yard. She always did have her favorite activities like chasing squirrels, barking at trucks, begging me for my food even though she just ate. But that light in her eyes never faded. That warmth always stayed with me. I know unconditional love exists because she was filled with it and wasn't scared to share it. Even in her last moments, despite how weak and quiet she had become, as soon as I pick up my car keys, she's trying to find the strength to come with me. I would often whisper to her "I love you, did you know that? You better." Making up songs to sing to her while we drove around the neighborhood with her nose peeking out the window for odd smells was common. Mandy was beyond what I ever expected in a best friend. She wanted nothing more than to protect me and make sure I was there with her. Mandy passed at home, in her buddy's arms, thanks to a call out service. She never did like going to the vet, knowing she was at home in a familiar place with a familiar love helped ease her mind. Until the last star fades from this universe you will always be my good girl and my whole wide world. As you pass into the great beyond, I know you'll wait for me. I will see you again, Mandy. We'll be silly together again soon, I promise. I love you. Forever and ever. ____________________________________ Thank you to everyone who has shown her love over the years. Thank you for all the support. She wasn't just special to me, she was special to all of you rooting her on. She was loved the world over and she knows it.

I'm not moving my head AT ALL! Today I tried making a low mobility rig. Body and head rotation are tied to eye-look, and blinking triggers a little bounce. 🥰 I thought this might be useful for vtubers with mobility challenges OR who just forget to puppeteer mid-stream (me). 😂
