Recruiting Tip: Avoid “tag spamming” • Tagging 100s of coaches in your tweets will do more to get you tuned out than noticed. • If you need to resort to a tag to get noticed you won’t be. • Tagging is fine if the staff already knows and likes you. • The biggest tag spammers are usually kids that have lowest likelihood of playing at the level of those programs. • Solution: reinvest your twitter time into training time, academic time and performing time on the field and you will create a higher likelihood of these coaches you can only touch by tagging of finding you.
