@SmallerFishGAA Portlaoise slug tells YHOTY & All Ireland winner, who banged 1-13 in said All Ireland, how he should be hitting his frees. And for the record, he was booed when coming on as a sub, long before he hit any free. Which is pathetic soccer carry on and should be called out.

According to John Fogarty, Darragh McCarthy took an average of 24 seconds to score his two frees. That's around double most other free takers. It's not a time wasting thing as Tipp were chasing the game. It just the most ridiculous free taking routine we've ever seen. Going back out to throw up grass (when there no wind) when he's already addressed the ball is completely unnecessary and he should change it
