KNOWLEDGE ARRIVES ONLY AFTER THE BODY HAS HAD CONTACT WITH DEATH Spiritual knowledge can be the perfect disguise for the ego. To have a grasp of the inverted matrix, or deeper spiritual and esoteric teachings is not the same as integration. One can appear deeply realized, while entirely untouched at the core. One can have awakened to the outer reality, while the underworld remains sealed. They see the patterns, the illusions, the roles, the stories. They can name the ego, identify the matrix and the inversion of the nature of reality, speak fluently about the soul, consciousness and awareness. They can quote sacred texts, or speak in quantum terms and archetypal patterns. But they speak of awareness without any contact or understanding the underground of the psyche. Awakening floats above the flesh, uninitiated. Knowledge and insight are confused with integration. This is where the danger lives. They have not been initiated into the shadow, nervous system, or somatic wisdom. The body remains split off. Without descent, spirituality is a performance of light. And light that has never passed through the dark, can burn. Spiritual people can be dangerous, sometimes more so than those who have never touched spirituality at all. It bypasses responsibility. What has not been owned will be unconsciously inflicted. Awareness and language can become a weapon and a shield. What has not been transmuted will be projected. What is not integrated cannot love safely. What has not been lived in the body will be enforced through words or taught prematurely. Awakening becomes a way to stay above accountability, consequence, relationship, dysregulation, pain. This is how the doomer is born. Awake to systems, blind to self. The nervous system is flooded. Others unconsciously weaponize light. They can wound while believing they are healing, gaslight with consciousness, dismiss with detachment, and invalidate with transcendence. They become spiritualized weapons of covert narcissism. What has not descended will dominate from above. The shadow then rules from below. Knowledge arrives only after the body has had contact with death. Initiation descends into the mess of the human animal and dismantles certainty and control. It brings awareness down into trembling, instinct, rupture, hunger, rage, sexuality, terror, grief, and longing. Consciousness is shattered and reassembled in the body with repeated contact with places we would rather rise above. Embodiment cannot be faked. The measure of realization is not what one knows or can articulate, but what one can endure without avoidance, dissociating, projecting, or spiritualizing. It is what you can stay with.
