@kiwifot it doesn’t even have to be about romantic love either. We’ve all been in situations were we find superficial friendships were they don’t get to know you on a deeper level and then you find a friend who wants to really know you & that becomes your bff. Bit of a rant, sorry 😂

@kiwifot The only place Tanrak feels safe, himself and loved is with Barth. Of course he’ll want to spend all his time with him, that’s the only corner of his world where he’s free, we would all do the same, especially if we’ve never had that in our life before. The rest is just pressure

not saying he’s not valid either bc i would hate being in his position,, but to me tanrak and kong’s friendship seems like one of those relationships that only has one direction (in this case becoming priests together). in all the years they’ve known each other tanrak has never really been able to be himself. when he said kong sulks easily made me think that maybe he tried to be more open with him before but the reaction was negative or judgmental so he just decided to shut himself off completely. barth is the first person who’s given him that freedom and that’s why i can’t fully blame his behavior atm. because out of everyone around him he’s the only one who actually took the time to get to know who tanrak really is

It’s definitely a side we haven’t seen of theirs before, I’m scared for the next episode but I also need it bc I know gemfourth will kill all of these scenes and I need to see that

When we got this in the pilot & trailer, we didn’t know their characters as much as we do now so to go back to this clip and see Barth be so angry and swear at Tanrak. Even go so far to bring physicality into it like snatching the rosery + #tickettoheaven

@bobamings You don’t get it… people just want them to suffer all the time 🫩 how are we meant to root for them if we don’t have a basis for how much they love each other. Why are people mad that we had an episode where they got to really know each other is beyond me.

People need to take into account that it would be detrimental for Tanrak to engage with kong while going through this process of embracing his sexuality and happiness that is not bc of his faith. We would get absolutely nowhere if Tanrak didnt distance himself from kong 🧵

@lwjtokki Is important imo. Why would they choose their relationship if they aren’t deeply intimately connected in this way through love. Also the guilt, tension and complexity did not go away in this ep, what are people on. Think they just wanted them making out every second or smth

@lwjtokki What sort of relationship they would be in, the calm and tranquility they would provide for each other. For Tanrak to be okay with choosing Barth or leaving the seminary but choosing to uphold his belief in god as well, seeing that their relationship isn’t just pain and guilt +

I feel like some people are completely missing the point of this episode and questioning why the tension between barthtanrak was suddenly toned down from the last ep. From my understanding, the intention was to shift the focus from lust/desire to love/deep connection. Episode 3 already explored the theme of lust through Tanrak's internal struggle and in ep 4 he even admitted that there were moments when he was "wavering" and even tells Barth that he can't control himself when he's around him. If the story had continued to emphasize only that aspect, it could have made their relationship seem rooted solely by physical attraction. Instead this episode takes the time to show the emotional connection between them. That's why Barth asking, "But are you happy?" feels so significant cuz deep down even he may have feared that Tanrak only saw him as a temptation or a distraction rather than someone he genuinely cared about. So this episode was very imp because it established the foundation of their bond and emotional connection which will make all of their future struggles and choices hit so much harder #TicketToHeavenEP4

@HereForTheBLs @F0RFOURTH Exactly, I don’t really know what other explanation people want from Tanrak. People believe in their religion devoutly for less then what Tanrak has been through 🙃 I guess this is just fourth solo agenda??

@Willowswisps @F0RFOURTH We got all this info already? The whole point is that he wants to devote himself to god so he reaches heaven and can be reunited with his parents. That is literally the basis of the entire story and was spelled out in episode 1. I'm baffled why people say they don't know?

i want to know about tanrak’s worldly life. because it feels impossible that someone would dedicate himself so completely to God without having a past that led him there. people don’t just wake up one day and turn their lives around by 180 degrees. something must have happened. there must have been experiences, struggles, losses, or desires that shaped him into the person he is now. that’s the story i’m most curious about, not just who tanrak is today, but who he was before he became tanrak :(
