Marking #WorldAlzheimersMonth by attending webinar on funding for innovative brain health initiative. I know, the very idea that some of us can think for ourselves when half the organisations that speak for us have no pre presentation on their boards from us. Shocking!

Join Dementia Research helps anyone in the UK find and take part in vital dementia research. You do not need a diagnosis. It is only through research that we can develop effective treatments, improve care and one day find a cure. ow.ly/zWFh50G2YBu #worldalzheimersmonth

Ahoy Twitter community: I have forgotten my password and no longer have access to email a/c associated with this Twitter account. How on earth can I migrate this a/c to other devices? Even über-geek @Tomgilder is stuck, which doesn't bode well for lesser mortals.

#AlzheimersAwarenessMonth Just a reminder to people who forget - Alzheimer's Disease is an organic disease of the brain. People with disease get treated by the NHS generally of course. Although the care system somehow overlooks that in our case.

"Progressive brain diseases." That's the terminology @WillyGilder prefers to the word 'dementia', himself diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Inarguably, it's more precise & less gothic-novelesque. I recommend a listen to this interview. youtu.be/wcxqqte8mh4

@WillyGilder From being trained to do PLACE inspections in hospitals, I know the importance of colour contrast (and also texture) in Dementia Wards. But they also work well for non-affected people. There should be a module on this in every Design Course, Shirley.

@WillyGilder It's just as bad with most handbag linings, @WillyGilder. And I once lost a lump-hammer and a crowbar in a particularly busy carpet in Wallsend.

This is interesting. As the nights draw in, I'm aware that I'm quite anxious about making my way around the house at dusk. My wonky eyesight needs as much light as possible #AlzheimersAwarenessMonth - sensory issues common with AD, but seldom mentioned for some strange reason

@stationarygypsy Calling it a poem is pushing it, but glad it made your day
English

This is delightful! I shall think of this poem whenever anyone asks me what my favourite colour, animal, sound, or season is. My broad smile will be my first response.
