Thank you Marshall fans, coaches, staff, and my teammates for an amazing final year of college ball. I’m grateful for everything this program and community gave me. I’m officially starting my professional career and excited for what’s ahead. 🤘🏿💚 Season highlights are below

Last season, I would drive around the state to workout players from South Carolina, Charleston and Winthrop. It gave me my coaching “fix” while I was outside of coaching. Unfortunately those guys graduated or transferred. So this season I hadn’t been able to get my fix. Today was different. I got a text two nights ago and made arrangements to meet some guys for a 5am workout this morning (meaning my day started at 2:30am 😆) It was good to be back in the gym working with guys and talking to them about their season. It’s what I was meant to do. I was already determined to return to coaching next season. These kids just helped pour more fuel on the fire.

Not enough people are aware of Landen Joseph. The Marshall freshman is a tenacious defender and smooth operating guard. Joseph is currently 5th in the entire Sun Belt in Evan Miya’s BPR (3.48). Other stats from his freshman campaign so far: TS%: 59.7 DR%: 14.4 (listed at 6’2”!!!) ARate: 25.6 Stl%: 3.9 FTRate: 41.9 Up and coming star!!!

I understand there’s “a lot of competition for coaching jobs”. That said, I have relationships with hundreds of players who keep asking: “Where you gonna be next year, Coach?” And there aren’t many coaches who have the track record of helping turn around struggling programs and enhancing cultures like I do. It may sound like ego. But anyone who knows me knows I’ll do anything to help my program. If that means picking up dirty drawers in the locker room, monitoring classes, breaking down film, running workouts….whatever. I’ve worn every hat. You won’t hear me complaining about having to work because I love the grind. I’m a college coach. I’ll keep trusting the process.
