Due to school bus driver shortages, we’re seeing heavier traffic during school drop-off today. Our officers are on scene to help keep things safe, orderly, & moving as smoothly as possible. We kindly ask all drivers to be patient, stay alert, and follow officers’ directions.

I’m ordering a virtual, partial activation of the Connecticut Emergency Operations Center (EOC) ahead of Sunday’s winter storm. With 14–22 inches of snow possible and whiteout conditions, I strongly urge everyone to shelter in place and avoid travel.

Beyond numbers, much of our work involves helping people on their hardest days, not simply enforcing laws. Our officers bring calm, stability, and safety to those who need it most and it is this work that defines us.
