Day 476 since Zohran Mamdani's CityFHEPS expansion commitment and day 62 since the appeal was filed. People are still going through the same CityFHEPS process as before, and the expansion is still something families are waiting to see take shape with @ZohranKMamdani.

It is now day 475 since @ZohranKMamdani’s CityFHEPS expansion pledge, and day 61 since the appeal filing. Continued procedural progress may ease bottlenecks, but the underlying policy goal remains unfulfilled without full expansion. #CityFHEPSNOW

Supporters say expanding the state’s new Housing Access Voucher Program, which helps low-income New Yorkers at risk of homelessness afford a place to live, could bridge the gap for 5,500 city households whose federal rent assistance expires this year. citylimits.org/state-lawmaker…

Efficiency gains matter, but families still cannot access housing support that has not been fully implemented. Today is day 473 since @ZohranKMamdani pledged to expand CityFHEPS and day 59 since the appeal seeking to block the law from taking effect. #KeepYourPromise

Today marks day 472 since @ZohranKMamdani pledged while campaigning to expand CityFHEPS and day 58 since the appeal was filed. Administrative improvements can reduce friction in the system, but they don’t replace full delivery of the CityFHEPS expansion.

“The program’s working because people are getting out of shelters. So to not continue that first-in-decades positive momentum with an expansion just doesn’t make any sense to me.” @ChrisCQuinn said.

Today is day 471 since @ZohranKMamdani pledged to expand CityFHEPS & day 57 since the City moved to delay the law’s rollout through the courts. Every day of delay means fewer available exits from shelter into stable housing. New Yorkers are still waiting. #CityFHEPSNOW

Every student deserves stable housing and the support needed to succeed. That means placing families closer to schools, expanding reliable transportation, increasing school and shelter-based support staff, and ensuring access to permanent housing.

As @ChrisCQuinn shared, transportation gaps, shelter placements far from schools, & limited support make attendance a struggle for too many children. The impact is clear: 75% of students living in shelters lack reading proficiency, and more than one-third do not graduate on time.

Administrative improvements can speed up parts of the process, but they don’t replace the need to fully implement the CityFHEPS expansion. Today is day 469 since @ZohranKMamdani pledged to expand CityFHEPS and day 55 since the City appealed to block the law from taking effect.

Delays in implementing the CityFHEPS expansion translate into longer shelter stays and fewer paths to housing for families. It has now been 468 days since @ZohranKMamdani pledged to expand CityFHEPS and 54 days since the City moved to halt implementation of the law. #CityFHEPSNOW

City Hall says it wants to move families into housing faster. But today marks day 467 since @ZohranKMamdani pledged to expand CityFHEPS, and day 53 since the appeal seeking to block the law from taking effect. The City must fully deliver the expansion families were promised.

Int 0452 would begin to close that gap by creating a wage alignment system tied to comparable City job titles, with updates for cost of living and collective bargaining over time.
