@rebel1librarian Right now my Dream Job curating a collection of ancient coins of the Bible for a rare coin dealer. Finding Caesar's Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Nero, Titus and Domitian. The King of Greece, Alexander the Great, King Herod and Pontius Pilate. History is coming alive for me !

The Gold Foundation Plaque of #Darius the Great, a significant artifact from ancient #Persia (IRAN). Darius left foundation deposits like this one in the corners of his palace at Persepolis, stone boxes containing gold and silver tablets inscribed in three languages describing his empire's extent. The inscriptions list subject peoples from #Scythia to #Ethiopia, Ethiopia to India. What makes them unusual is their function: they weren't meant to be read. They were buried under the foundations, addressed to no living audience, written for the earth itself or for whoever might dig there centuries later. I'm just about to hop on a plane and head to Washington, D.C., to lead a VIP tour of the Dead Sea Scroll exhibit at the @museumofBible. My colleagues along with the museum's Chief Curatorial officer, Dr. Bobby Duke, will then give a series of lectures related to the Bible, its manuscripts, texts, and canon history. We're also showcasing the museum's new Dead Sea Scrolls documentary along with the world premiere of episode 3 of "Can I Trust the Bible?" series. This past season, I have been incredibly privileged to publicly express my personal convictions regarding my faith and study. I never imagined nor sought out the public platforms that I've been able to be part of. That attention has been humbling but also quite overwhelming. Despite being continually labelled "the expert," I am far from it! I have the privilege to work with genuine experts, individuals whose knowledge and craft surpass mine by country miles. I am merely a life-long student gleaning from others and excitedly telling those I have the occasion to share with. Don't let the podcast titles like "number 1 Christian expert" fool you, I'm pretty low on the food chain compared to those who have the privilege to study formally. I'm not claiming to be the voice of "mainstream critical scholarship," the consensus of my field, or any other grandiose title; merely the voice of myself. I would appreciate your prayers for the coming months. Though I've posted here and there I've been somewhat off the grid lately due to personal and academic commitments that required focused, solitary devotion. I am convinced that so many things have come together solely due to God's timing and provision. Nonetheless, I have daunting academic and personal commitments approaching that require significant concentration and the removal of distractions. The emotional whiplash of so many people reaching out and expressing thanks combined with the scrutiny the limelight brings has not always been easy. But I am thankful to God for His provision and strength. “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore,Therefore I will boast all the more in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me." - Corinthians 12:9-10

First thing I’m going to say is that when you point your finger at someone, you have 4 coming back at you but the 3 verses calls us to be holy and not be like the world. I struggle with this well. Goes back to what I said about planks in eyes.

@KingKong9888 I was lucky enough to buy a new found hoard of these earlier this year.. They sell for $400-500 when authenticated as mint state by NGC… i cherry picked the best ones for under $200 each
