Ashton Park, Avenham & Miller Parks, Haslam Park and Fishwick Recreation Ground & Local Nature Reserve have also received the award again this year. Well done to all our PCC gardeners and volunteers who together raised the 2025 Flag opposite Winckley Street.

GREEN FLAG AWARD: For the ninth consecutive year Winckley Square Gardens has once again received the Green Flag Award and also retained its GREEN HERITAGE accreditation, supported by Historic England. The award is an international quality mark for parks and green spaces.

Local businesses blitz the Gardens Last week local businesses worked with FoWS volunteers and PCC gardeners to spend a day weeding, tidying flower beds and borders, cutting back overgrowth and planting new shrubs and flowers.
