Funny enough this whole thing happened behind the camera. No audio or video clip that can go viral to ruin the reputation of the show. Made the joke using mic, loud enough to hear the members who were in another room few feets away

The way I was legit psychologically tortured by the Fallon show today. I can’t describe what it like to be in room with people crying while someone else is living your dream down the hall and you are locked away watching it. With no sense of time.

@130613fate I was there! they weren’t in the “room” you could say they might have heard it bc he had a mic and was pretty loud when everyone was there , their dressing room was only a few feet away not closed off so it’s a possibility

Racism is never “a joke.” It’s extremely harmful and it’s extremely disrespectful. If you’re comfortable being racist, you should be just as comfortable facing the consequences. Actions have an impact, and people who cross that line should absolutely be held responsible..including losing their platform or job.

For folks who don’t know, shows like @FallonTonight hire comedians as emcees to “warm up” the crowd before the show. It sounds like the guy they hired for today thought it would be cool to make a racist joke about BTS to their fans. The emcee and the show need to apologize now.

Namjoon not just a week ago was so happy that no one asked if they were north or south korean anymore but now fallon's racist staff prove again how BTS will always be alienated in this industry

i hope bts never goes back to that show. this was the one show in america that actually treated them well and to hear that the mc said a racist comment makes me so disgusted. they also treated the audience horribly. fallon and fallon’s team do better.
