Using costumes, role play and crafts, we’ll discover how the Romans dealt with the dirtiest fighters in iron-age Britain, and what they left behind. This FREE workshop is suitable for families with children under 12, but all are welcome to join.

The Winding House history museum, built on the site of the former Elliot Colliery, is home to a coffee & gift shop, and fascinating exhibition of local history. It's original Victorian winding engine can also be seen in operation on event days. #localhistorymonth @WindingH
