My angle is that if you're in a position where you want this kinda thing but cant afford it just emulate and dont feel bad about it

@Windsweep I think this is the wrong angle to take the conversation. The problem definitely shouldn't be that it's $20, it should be that it's $20 for a service far inferior to what you can get elsewhere.

When you're already tight on paying for groceries and rent, just emulate or pirate everything from these corporations.
If gaming makes you happy just do it. The world is shitty enough, you deserve to have some money in your pocket while still being able to enjoy things.

If 20$ isn't worth it to you for a GBA port just emulate.
If you don't have enough to play the next big single player game just pirate it.

@Windsweep sadly fe7 is a bit of a slog to play through, fe9 is the best choice but fe8 is good if the player has enough self control not to just ruin the gameplay for no reason

I always recommend FE7 or FE9 because they don't allow unlimited grinding like FE8 while also being easy.
Modern FE gamers wont even go back to old FE games because of permadeath. Its better to try out the ones that are easy for newcomers but don't give you an easy way out imo
