After 4 years at X, it's time to turn the page. I'm excited to share that I've joined the engineering team at Roblox! Glad to be working with some of my favorite colleagues from Twitter on the Marketplace team.
I'm incredibly proud of what we built over the past few years at X on Monetization. From the X Premium launch, to Verified Orgs, Creator Monetization and one of my personal favorites - Articles, I was able to do some of the best work of my career at X. The complete transformation from a large public company to a nimble private company enabled us to quickly deliver in ways that I never felt I could at Twitter.
The opportunity to work with Elon was a humbling once in a lifetime experience and I'm honored to have played a small part in building his vision for X. I'm also grateful for the opportunity to work with so many hard-working and exceptional engineers.
Lastly, a big thank you to all the creators on X, who are the lifeblood of the platform. It was great to hear directly from you. It's easiest to forget with so many layers at large companies between engineers and the customers who you're building for and the impact of your decisions. Thank you for all you for X! 🫡

This is a sad day for X users around the world, especially those in Brazil, who are being denied access to our platform.
I wish it did not have to come to this – it breaks my heart. The Brazilian Constitution says, "Any and all censorship of a political, ideological and artistic nature is forbidden." I hope for a day when the Brazilian government will live up to the Constitution that the Brazilian people ratified. But until there is change in Brazil, X will be shut down.
We hope to be back soon.

Soon, we expect Judge Alexandre de Moraes will order X to be shut down in Brazil – simply because we would not comply with his illegal orders to censor his political opponents. These enemies include a duly elected Senator and a 16-year-old girl, among others. When we attempted to defend ourselves in court, Judge de Moraes threatened our Brazilian legal representative with imprisonment. Even after she resigned, he froze all of her bank accounts. Our challenges against his manifestly illegal actions were either dismissed or ignored. Judge de Moraes’ colleagues on the Supreme Court are either unwilling or unable to stand up to him. We are absolutely not insisting that other countries have the same free speech laws as the United States. The fundamental issue at stake here is that Judge de Moraes demands we break Brazil’s own laws. We simply won’t do that. In the days to come, we will publish all of Judge de Moraes’ illegal demands and all related court filings in the interest of transparency. Unlike other social media and technology platforms, we will not comply in secret with illegal orders. To our users in Brazil and around the world, X remains committed to protecting your freedom of speech. ------------------- Em breve, esperamos que o Ministro Alexandre de Moraes ordene o bloqueio do X no Brasil – simplesmente porque não cumprimos suas ordens ilegais para censurar seus opositores políticos.
