Community service plays a vital role in shaping a responsible and united society, bringing young people together to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of their communities. As the second cohort of the Machakos Youth Service nears the completion of their National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) examinations, they will proceed to a one-week community service program, placing them at the center of community engagement. Through this initiative, a strong culture of giving back is nurtured, while teamwork, discipline, and leadership among the youth continue to grow. At the same time, communities benefit from cleaner and more organized environment, as young people take pride in supporting and improving the spaces they live in, fostering a lasting sense of responsibility and ownership.

The second cohort of the Machakos Youth Service is making commendable progress as they near the completion of their National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) examinations. This marks a major milestone in equipping our youth with hands-on skills and preparing them for productive livelihoods. Following their exams, the trainees will engage in a one-week community service program, giving them an opportunity to give back to society while nurturing discipline and teamwork. This initiative strengthens their sense of responsibility and patriotism, builds leadership and teamwork skills, and contributes to the improvement of the local community environment. After the release of their results, we will hold a graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements and mark the beginning of their transition into the job market and entrepreneurship, after which we will issue them with tools of trade. These tools will empower them to be self-reliant, enable them to start their own ventures, enhance productivity, and contribute meaningfully to economic growth while reducing unemployment among the youth.
