It’s not sexy anymore because it doesn’t glorify the receiver position enough in pass happy offenses now. Play to strengths and if most HS with smaller rosters and smaller players would accept it they could benefit from running it.

Every football coach eventually chooses one path: Build a system. Or spend every offseason rebuilding one. The choice shows up every Friday night.

Believing tempo alone creates explosive offenses. Good football still comes down to blocking, tackling, and execution.

Name one football coaching trend that everyone copied… …but wasn’t actually an improvement.

@YoungAngel_ The obsession with being “modern” has convinced coaches that proven football no longer works. Funny how the scoreboard has never cared what’s trendy. Kids want to win, and colleges recruit good football players—not offensive systems.

The Wing-T is still one of the hardest offenses to defend in high school football. Most coaches just don’t have the patience to learn it.

Not sure I totally agree. I don’t run the Wing T but I have and I’m a big fan! Our QB still reads coverages. Our WRs still block, release, and catch. Our OL still learn footwork, leverage, communication, and protection. College coaches recruit football players…not stat lines. If your system teaches fundamentals and puts kids in competitive situations, they’ll be just fine.

Wing t essentially doesn’t need a qb or wr. Your OL doesn’t learn pass pro. Is it the best way to win games in HS yes, just beat your opponent into the ground. But many players on offense will be missing tons of things they will be asked to do in college. Your WRs and QBs will struggle with recruiting because they won’t have enough film
