Coach Thompson and his wife welcomed their 1st child: Beckett Andrew Thompson on 12/27. You’ll be seeing him at meets in the near future 🩵

No NXR this weekend, but senior Morgan Back ran the Good Life Halfsy half-marathon in cold conditions and came away with a new PR of 1:27:24 and winning 15-19 age group. She also finished as the 19th overall woman and 152/6915 overall!

Winterset alums Mason Back (‘23) and Collin Kessler (‘25) competing at the American Rivers Conference meet.

Ava Hope (18th, 19:11) and Mallory Back (28th, 19:32) earned 2nd Team All-State honors!

John Taylor finished 65th (17:13) in his first individual appearance at the state meet, capping off a remarkable junior campaign!

In back-to-back seasons, the girls finish 5th in Class 3A, tying Winterset’s highest placing in school history!!

En route to her 3rd place all-district performance, Mallory Back shatters the school record set last week, taking 17 more seconds off! This also sets the course record and sophomore record at Winterset.

Junior John Taylor not only runs a personal best of 16:35 (37 seconds faster than last week’s major PR), not only runs a course record for Winterset, he QUALIFIES for his first state meet appearance! Congrats, JT!!!
